California Veterinary Medical Foundation
The California Veterinary Medical Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization formed by the California Veterinary Medical Association in 1995. It is devoted to helping animals in California , especially during disasters. The foundation is completely funded by donations. Following are programs that provide ways you can help.
Memorial Gift Program
In the tradition of memorial gift programs, this provides an avenue to memorialize a lost animal in a meaningful way and recognize the value of the human-animal bond.
Your tax deductible donation to this memorial gift program will help fund the purposes of the foundation, such as educating the public on animal health care needs and services and providing aid to animals during disasters.
No one wants their animals to become the victims of a disaster. The CVMF is working to prevent this from happening by providing relief and aid in the interest of animal health in the event of disaster. It will accomplish this by working with the CVMA’s Disaster Preparedness Committee and by providing funds for:
Through our efforts and your support, we can accomplish this goal!
Planned Giving Programs
This is a way for you to plan your financial future and at the same time provide the foundation with a gift.
The forms of planned giving available are wills, life insurance, appreciated property, and Charitable Remainder Trusts.
By becoming involved in planned giving, you can find a way to save on capital gains tax, increase your retirement savings, and help provide support for animals.
The CVMF is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation organized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, donations to this foundation are tax-deductible as a charitable donation.
