The staff at the CVMA is proud to share the news with our members that CVMA Executive Director Valerie Fenstermaker has been awarded the 2012 American Society of Veterinary Medical Association Executives (ASVMAE) Executive of the Year Award. Ms. Fenstermaker received the award at the ASVMAE annual meeting in San Diego, held in conjunction with the AVMA Convention.The award was given to Ms. Fenstermaker for outstanding contributions to the association executive profession. It is the highest honor ASVMAE can give one of its members who are CEOs or staff executives of a state or allied association. Award recipients are respected leaders of their own associations who ably contribute to other voluntary membership organizations, serve ASVMAE, and find time to play an active role in civic and community affairs. They exemplify the very best in association management, continually bringing credit to the profession and to the entire association community.
