LOCAL VETERINARIAN BECOMES CVMA MEMBER-AT-LARGE
Dr. Dayna Wiedenkeller Installed at Annual Conference
San Francisco, CA – Dayna Wiedenkeller, DVM was installed as member-at-large of the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) on June 29, 2012 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square in San Francisco, California. The installation took place during the annual Pacific Veterinary Conference. The CVMA is a membership organization that represents more than 6,300 veterinary professionals in California.
“Being elected member-at-large of the CVMA is a great honor,” Dr. Wiedenkeller said. “There are a lot of issues on the horizon for veterinarians at the state and national level. The CVMA Board of Governors is one of the most respected and informed groups to help deal with these issues.”
Dr. Wiedenkeller was elected to the CVMA Board of Governors in 2010. She lives in Anaheim and is a co-owner of the Community Veterinary Hospital, a small animal practice in Garden Grove. Dr. Wiedenkeller has been a representative in the CVMA House of Delegatesand on many CVMA task forces and committees and is a past president of the Southern California VMA. She received her DVM degree from Cornell University in 1988 and her residency training at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Wiedenkeller is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine).
