New 2012-2013 CVMA President-Elect

LOCAL VETERINARIAN BECOMES CVMA PRESIDENT-ELECT
Dr. Ron Kelpe Installed at Annual Conference
 
San Francisco, CA – Ron Kelpe, DVM was installed as president-elect of the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) on June 29, 2012 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square in San Francisco, California. The installation took place during the annual Pacific Veterinary Conference. The CVMA is a membership organization that represents more than 6,300 veterinary professionals in California.
 
“I’m very excited to be serving as president-elect on the Board of Governors this year,” Dr. Kelpe said. “My involvement with organized veterinary medicine on the local and statewide level has afforded me opportunities to be involved in many issues that affect our profession.”
 
Dr. Kelpe was elected to the CVMA Board of Governors in 2008. He lives in Coto de Caza and owns the Santa Margarita Animal Care Center. Dr. Kelpe has been a representative in the CVMA House of Delegates and serves on several committees and task forces, including as chair of the Sunset Review Task Force. He is also a past president of the Southern California VMA. Dr. Kelpe received his DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1984 and is a native of Omaha, Nebraska.
