New Mandatory Posters Available

All veterinary clinics with 15 or more employees need to have a new set of posters. This is due to the changes on the federal poster involving the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA).

The new law protects insurance policy holders and employees from discrimination on the basis of genetic information. New GINA requirements apply to all employers with 15 or more employees.

The new posting also includes the regulatory changes mandated under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Amendments Act of 2008. The Act makes important changes to the definition of the term "disability."

The CVMA has the new poster set for sale, which incorporates all new notices – go to the Products section to order yours. Regulations require that the posters be put up in a conspicuous place.
